I haven't seen it, but I agree with you when you say that Random acts of kindness should be for everyone- those that deserve AND those that don't.

I haven't even looked at it because there's nothing random about television. I always found their home/garden makeovers to be contrived and sacharine so now way in hell do I want to torture myself with this latest bullshit.

LOL I haven't seen it, but I take your point. What do you think of 'Acts of Kindness Chosen for Ratings Potential'? Catchy, isn't it? :D

I've only seen one episode and I don't like it either. Random acts of kindness is a great theory, but what they're doing, apart from choosing their recipients, is way over the top. Acts of kindness, to me, should be simple, spur of the moment stuff. Certainly not something planned in advance costing thousands of dollars. I prefer my method. At the checkout occasionally people just don't have that last 5 cent piece to pay for their groceries. If I know they're going to start going through their bags looking for something to put back I'll just pretend the coins in my hand add up correctly and let them go. I don't do this too often of course, people would start taking advantage, but I know the few who are really struggling to manage until next pension day. At the end of my shift I'll chuck a dollar or 50 cents in the till from my own pocket to make sure it's balanced.
