They are alive! I have seen you kill so many things so glad that this is working? Did my plants inspire you?

I finally got my lots of lemon and a minature lime tree - apparently if the lime tree is not doing so well as with the lemon you pee on it and it works really well. Hmmm I will let you know if it ever works! :) Maybe employee the kids to do that!

So, Bettina, a steak hey? I didn't know tomato's were red meat eaters LOL. All my pots are self watering (cause otherwise they'd die) so I don't seem to have that problem. I will get myself a stake pronto ;). As for the lavender and coriander, the lavender seems to be showing signs of improvement, but the coriander is gone :(. I think Hubby may have pruned it back a bit too far.

Marita I'm stunned I have so many plants, but like I said, I think I'm at my limit of what I can retain my interest in.

River, sounds like you'll have a colourful salad sometime soon. Keep me posted hey? I love reading about everyone's veggies!

Umm Kelley, you can steal my idea, and claim it as your own, but I'll hunt you down and post a link to this post and expose you. Well, not literally ;)

In my garden I have some of those foam boxes that supermarkets get with their broccoli delivered in. I asked the fruit & veg department to save me some. In them I've planted seeds of heirloom carrots (these grow in 5 different colours), baby cos lettuce (the only ones to come up so far), mini sweet capsicum mix (seven colours), minnesota midget rockmelon. In the ground I've planted seedlings of black russian(black tomatoes!) & red fig tomatoes, seeds of bush beans, lazy housewife beans and mortgage lifter tomatoes. I planted just a few seeds from each of my packets, so now I'm eagerly waiting to see what grows and what colour it is. I can't wait to try a purple carrot or a chocolate coloured capsicum.

Wow you have been busy. I've got one tomato plant going and that is more than enough for me to look after.

Yes, you need to stake your tomato plant lol

and just a tip for gardening in pots. If your potting mix does dry out it will repel water so the water will just run off the top of the pot, down the sides and not absorb in to the root area of the plant. If that happens use a little dishwashing detergent in your water and sit your pots in a tub of it. It acts as a wetting agent and helps the potting mix get wet again.

And don't overwater. lol

Lavender and corriander are usually pretty hardy....... perhaps they aren't getting enough sun on your window will?

Haha! Thanks Lightening. I think I've reached the limit of my gardening abilities though. I have killed off two other plants in the meantime (but lets not worry about those).

I did forget to mention my frangapani which is going great guns. I'll have to remember to put a post up about it later on.
