Menu Plan Monday - 1st September

Welcome to Spring here at Kin’s Home. The weather is already warming up (I had to buy summer clothes for the baby on the weekend), fans are on and salads are back on the menu. I know other parts of Australia are still suffering the cold, but here in North Queensland the winter is over and we’re entering the BEST time of year. It’s warm enough to swim (we went this morning) and there aren’t usually stingers around until the end of the month.
Also, after my horror August, September will be better, and is already off to a great start. I had the kids help with the menu plan today.
Monday - BBQ & salad at the club
Tuesday - Spaghetti Bolognaise
Wednesday - Steak, (homemade) potato and sweet potato chips and coleslaw
Thursday - Apricot Chicken and pasta
Friday - Marinated Lamb Drumsticks, Mashed Potato, Steamed Veggies
Saturday - Roast Chicken, Roast Vegetables
Sunday - Fish (fresh I hope!!), potato salad and steamed veggies.

You had to buy summer clothes for the baby? Did you not store some of the baby clothes from the older girls? I had my youngest getting around in baby clothes that my oldest had worn. Until they’re running around outside, I found that baby clothes were outgrown rather than worn out. My oldest had things passed down from her cousins which were then passed down through my 4.
I have kept clothes from the first two but only from size 2 onwards. We weren’t sure we were having a third, and a lot of clothes had already done my cousins 3 girls before I got them, so after 5 kids weren’t worth keeping for “maybe”. And both the older two were in winter clothes for size 0, which is what I’ve bought. So either way I would have been buying them I guess.
You’ve got a great menu! Have a fabulous week!
