6 Things Meme

I have to answer 6 questions about myself. At the end of the post, I then tag 6 people and post their names, then go to their blogs and leave them a comment, letting them know they’ve been tagged and asking them to read my blog. Then, I must let the person who tagged me know when I’ve posted my answers.

6 Places I Have Lived

Darwin. I was born in Darwin and lived there until I was 11

Brisbane. When I was 11 I went off to boarding school. During the holidays I lived in my grandparents house and also a caravan (that counts as 3 right? so I’m up to 4?)

Sunshine Coast. Variously Mountain Creek, Mooloolaba, Buderim, Mountain Creek then Chancellor Park

And where we are now - the beautiful Great Barrier Reef!

What was I doing 10 years ago?

Oh gosh, this’ll show you just how young I am Embarassed I had just finished my first semester of uni on the Sunshine Coast, had started dancing seriously and had just got myself my first serious boyfriend (while stalking my now DH). I was ballroom dancing in my spare time, and working part time at a car dealership in Brisbane on the weekends.

5 Things on My To-Do List Today

  1. Clean the house for tonight
  2. Get the last few food bits for make your own pizza’s tonight
  3. Make Hubby a cake for his birthday
  4. Put all the DVD’s and CD’s away in our new tv unit
  5. Take photos of our house while it’s clean

 Snacks I like to eat

I’m not a real big snack eater - basically anything I don’t have to prepare. Chips, chocolate, biscuits etc.

If I was a billionaire

Ooh, this is fun. Firstly I would buy my dream house. Or build it if I couldn’t find it. About 7 bedrooms on 50 acres less than an hour from a city (one bedroom for each of the kids, one for me & Hubby, one office and two spare bedrooms for all my family and friends to visit).

Invest enough to cover my expenses for life. I’m thinking $5m should be more than ample.

Set up funds for the kids so any needs are taken care of (schooling, university, wedding. No cars, houses.)

Help out my family anyway they need it (to a point….)

Start a couple of charities, and give the rest away.

Yes, I’ve done this exercise before. If it were just for me I only need about $10m to never have to worry about money again. What I’d like to do is set up a foundation that runs off the investment income of the capital I would provide, so it will always be able to continue. Imagine the interest on $500m and what that could do every year?

So, who to choose to go next?

I honestly can’t think of many people who haven’t already been tagged. If you haven’t been tagged yet, TAG, you’re it!
