Goals for 2008 Update - Part 4/7

Part four of my update on my Goals for 2008

Part one
Part two
Part three
Today I’m checking out how I’m getting on with my personal goals for the year.

Personal

  1. Once settled in The Big Smoke, and my body is recovered, join a gym or pool and begin to regain some level of fitness
  2. Reconnect with friends and family in the Big Smoke,
  3. Find a local group and start rebuilding a social circle around an interest group (theatre, ballroom dancing or some such hobby)

Well, we’re not settled in the Big Smoke, but my body is recovered and I have started Swimming Training. That seems to be working out well. As for part two, well we haven’t moved, so the modified goal is to make more friends here.

I don’t know about part 3. I am doing some socialising and swimming could be considered a hobby. I tried a mother’s group but that didn’t work out. I have enjoyed the Australian Breastfeeding Association meetings I’ve been to. I have also joined the Lions club, after 5 years of behind the scenes help. The main reactions I was greeted with were “It’s about time” and “what, aren’t you already a member?”.

So I think I’m doing quite well with these goals for the year as well. Join me on Sunday as I revisit my Tupperware goals for 2008

    Well done on your goals!
    Modified,perhaps, but you’re achieving them nonetheless :D

    Thanks Jayne :)

I do think it’s important to be open to adapting. And I think I’m achieving my goals, just in different ways to that which I imagined.
