DH likes the red ones too. i brought the kitchen aid cook book at angus and robertson for $24.95. i have made bread, cakes, cookies, pasta, bread rolls, whipped cream, made icing, beaten eggs the possibilities are endless. DD 6 said to me not long after i got mine that she cant wait for me to die because then she can throw out my computer and printer and inherit my kitchen aid. its great for people with kids, DD puts her filly apron on and we cook up a storm on a saturday morning (mother daughter time with a kitchen aid is great). i also want another bowl as i find when baking bread that it would be handy to have a second when i want to make something else. i also want ALL of the accessories that go with it, i currently only have the pasta set which i got free with mine. lastly but not least enjoy your new friend and may she assist you for many wonderful years of cooking. The blender for milkshakes and smoothies is more of a summer thing, unless you make soups which need blending to smooth them? And baby food.
