A year ago today
We were spending the day in town in Knaresborough, West Yorkshire the home of some of my family. As we strolled through the Wednesday markets and headed out to look at the castle I came across a beautiful World War I memorial.
I had forgotten it was ANZAC Day until I noticed the wreaths and decided I had to take a picture of the memorial so I could remind myself that all over the world today, Australians, New Zealanders, and people from many other countries are remembering the sacrifices of our not only our soldiers, but all those who have served, and continue to serve to protect the freedoms we take for granted.
Lest we forget
