School’s Back!

Uni went back last week, but unfortunately, I kind of didn’t. In my defense, I did move house, plus, you know, I have a 3 week old baby. So I really have to start paying attention. I do, however have a few problems I’ve encountered so far. For instance, I usually download my lectures each week, rather than waiting for the CD to be mailed to me (since the mail can take 5-7 working days to get here). But for one subject, I have been unable to find a website to download the lectures from. And I’m assuming hoping the lecture has some indication of its location. So I’m waiting on the CD. And I gotta say, it’s frustrating to be in the dark. For my other subject, I’ve found the website, and it’s nice to see some familiar names popping up on the forum, and I’m looking forward to catching up with them in April at our on-campus session. Plus, that one’s an actual exam (as opposed to a take-home exam) so I’m obviously giving that subject more attention than the other one.  I’ve done a nice weekly plan, but with the move, our trip away and again, the whole 3 week old baby, it’s not really working too well so far. Next week I’m going to take a closer look and see what I can do about that. My brain is just too fuzzy to deal with it right now. Apparently baby brain (or as I call it – placenta brain) isn’t just a myth. I read it on the internet, so it must be true…

I feel so selfish now for whinging on my blog about how hard my life is - adding 3 kids to the mix would top me off I reckon!

I can totally sympathise with you regarding your studies. I’m an end-of-third-year law student myself. I’m smack bang in the middle of my exams now cause I’m studyig through the LPAB.

All the best to you this semester.

I don’t know how you do it all!! You are definitely a supermum! I can definitely relate to the placenta brain, too!

BTW, I tagged you for a meme (if you can find time for it!) :)

It’s times like these when you wish that the time turners that hermione had in one or two of the Harry Potter books were real. You sound like you could do with another couple of hours in the day.

Actually, so could I….. though I’m not studying. I just make teenagers study.
