The Big Move - part 3 of 3

Well, perhaps I should say the “little” move. Since where we’re moving is about 500m from our old house. Tomorrow. While the in-laws have been WONDERFUL, it will be nice to be in our own place, with our own stuff again. And working on getting into a routine with Miss Moo (who currently thinks it’s kick Mummy play time).

The new “house” is actually a small duplex. Probably the same size living areas as what we had, but with one less bedroom, and no yard. At all. Ok, there’s this little patch of grass down the side of the house that currently is a bog hole has a fair bit of water sitting on the surface. But it’s about 1m wide x 10m long. Barely a cricket pitch (sorry Kelley Wink ). But it’s brand new. As in, no one has ever lived in it before. As in the builder settled it with our landlord on Monday.

Hopefully next week sometime I’ll have some pictures for you. I don’t plan on unpacking TOO much, and I want to chuck some more stuff out too. Preferably half of what we have. We did some window furniture shopping on the weekend, contemplating upgrading our bed to a king size (apparently Miss Moo thinks co-sleeping is a good idea), and downsizing our lounge suite and dining suite to something a bit smaller. I’m hoping it won’t be desperately necessary, but something we can do as we find things we like.

So, the fun part unpacking begins. But hopefully this is the end of the saga, and you won’t have to listen to me whine talk about it anymore.

Oh the fun of furniture shopping! We’re in the process of new furniture shopping and it’s the most frustrating thing, the things we like won’t fit or are grossly overpriced…but it is fun to pick out new stuff lol

King size beds are faaantastic. I love it. Except DH still managed to miss elbowing me in the head the other day by millimetres.

Good luck with the unpacking and furniture shopping.

Oooh I would love a king sized bed!

And thank God you can’t play cricket, but right now with the water sitting around the house it is a moat, which makes you a princess!!! Yay! You can wear those gorgeous green shoes and princess around your new castle!

Oh, and please no heavy lifting K?
