Still no news

Well, not really, there’s plenty of news. But no baby to report.

After a marathon visit to the hospital on Tuesday (well, it was only 4 hours - but when you’re expecting a simple 10-15 minute appointment, it’s a marathon), and amazingly only an hour or so was waiting time, I have a final date for induction of my super comfy baby.

She will arrive, come hell or high water, on Tuesday next week (that’s the 12th for the calendar challenged), if not, of course, before.

But yesterday was busy. Don’t get me wrong, I like being busy, but it wore me out. Completely. And today I want to nest, and I have no energy. And pains where I shouldn’t (not good pains either). I hit the two shopping centres in town yesterday. One for the post office, bank, Target sale and a half price shoe sale (oh I should take pictures of all the pretty shoes I brought that I can’t wear!!) and the other for groceries, donuts (cause we all know how important they are) and a catch up with the big Tupperware boss who was in town.

This resulted in a little bit of work for me to do when I got home, followed by a meeting last night. Oh, and then the in-laws decided to take the kids swimming at the ‘goon (Lagoon) and have a picnic dinner. So yesterday was pretty flat out. And physically exhausting. And today I want to clean. But I have no energy. And pain. Did I mention pain?

But we’ll get there, I’m sure.

I’m back to the hospital this afternoon for monitoring, so my mother-in-law is taking the girls to swimming lessons while I lie down with machines attached to various parts of my belly. I just need to remember to take something to read….

And on that note, I might meander back to bed, and see if I can get enough energy up to remake the poor childs cot which has been used as a dumping ground for the last two weeks - poor thing!

I hate the end bit. Every day feels like a week - and all those well meaning friends - LOL!

At least the end is in sight. Good luck (in case you go any day now) :D

She wants to clean!!!! She wants to clean!!!! Fingers crossed that’s a GOOD sign. :) I only had the feeling of wanting to clean with my first one. :( And my blood pressure was up so I wasn’t ALLOWED to clean. :(

    Thinking of you! :)

I never experienced that wanting to clean thing, but I was full of energy for most of the day with a fairly sudden droop into lethargy the day before my son was born. We’d been to Bribie Island for a day of swimming and on the way home my friend K said you’ve gone very quiet, I bet you’re in hospital tomorrow. She was right. I’d thought I was just exhausted after chasing my two-years-old-that-very-day daughter in and out of the water’s edge. I’m hoping you’re in labor as I type this.
