Little things make me happy

Like today. I took Meg to the shops, just the two of us. It was sweet, for 5 minutes until she started crying the shopping centre down. Drama Queen, just like her mother sisters!

But what really made me happy. Chopping boards that can go in the dishwasher. Nice.

Hey, I had to get something new for the new house!

It was the paper towel holder that did it for me one day lol :)

I always get at least one new saucepan and a frypan and occasionally a new electric kettle. Also lace curtains for the windows because I usually move in to a rented place that has the yuckiest skimpy bit of lace hanging off only the front window, so I get curtains to properly fit all the windows and leave them when I go because they probably wouldn’t fit in the next house anyway. enjoy your new house.

I put all my chopping boards in the dishwasher….. wooden and plastic.

Um, am I not supposed to do that????

My plastic ones go in the dishwasher cause I am anal retentive about keeping them clean. After they are scrubbed with the dishwashing brush, and then bleached occassionally too LOL. Told ya I’m anal about them……….

Kelley - wooden ones aren’t supposed to go in the dishwasher but if they can stand up to it then do it. But oil them occassionally so that they don’t dry out and split. If they split then chuck them out as they will breed yucky things very quickly.

Good to hear that you are getting Meg used to shopping already :)
